Committed to historically informed and inspired performances, Mercurius Company has gained international recognition for producing performances where music, dance, theatre and design are intimately connected and unified.
Since its establishment in 2000 Mercurius has offered an array of enticing and thought-provoking productions, bringing the past to reflect our present desires, afflictions and passions.

Collaborations include the Historical Royal Palaces, Wallace Collection, V&A, The Bach Players, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Timedance, London Festival of Baroque Music, Utrecht Early Music Festival, Two Moors Festival, Yale University, Royal College of Music, Accademia Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatorium, Amsterdam Conservatorium, I Danzatori Palatini, Folia, EADH-European Association for Dance History, BBC, University of Sao Paulo amongst others.

Mercurius is a registered charity in England and Wales (Charity Commission 274419). Through our community outreach programme we have secured eight National Lottery grants since 2004.

Our objectives are:
-To educate the public in the arts and sciences, and in particular the art & science of early dance and music, by the presentation of concerts, recitals, lectures and other material.
-To provide training through work experience to young artists at the beginning of their careers.
-To promote conservation of sources, instruments, costumes and collections which are relevant to the art and science of early dance and music.
